Is the pharmacy you’re planning to use a legitimate, state-licensed pharmacy?
To find out, you can look it up on your state board of pharmacy website (see below). If you can’t find it on that site, it may not be a legitimate pharmacy licensed to serve patients in your state.
How to search
Be sure you’re searching for a pharmacy. Many states let you search different types of businesses, such as beauticians, CPAs, and others.
Make sure you’re searching for a business, not an individual. Some sites let you search for an individual pharmacist as well. Be sure you choose the right one.
Find your state’s board of pharmacy website
Choose your state:
Choose your state. You need to look up the pharmacy in the state where you live, not the state the pharmacy is in. A pharmacy must be licensed in your state in order to legally ship to you.
If you can’t find it on that site, it may not be a legitimate pharmacy licensed to serve patients in your state. Beware though, many state pharmacy board websites require the exact name of the pharmacy. Enter it wrong, and you may not be able to find the pharmacy, even though it may actually licensed and legit in that state.
