Thumbs-up for FDA crackdown
APC was thrilled when the FDA announced it was taking action against illegal online businesses claiming to sell “research-grade” semaglutide, retatrutide, and other compounds. Illegal sellers like those threaten public health and patient confidence in their medications.
We put out a statement to that effect in which we were clear to emphasize the distinction between these illegal operators and legitimate compounding pharmacies. It’s easy, we’ve all seen, for media and even regulators to lump them together, especially with certain drug makers deliberately trying to conflate the two.
