CALL TO ACTION: Urge your Senators to sign hormone letter to FDA
You need to urge them to add their names to a letter to FDA led by Senators Baldwin (WI) and Marshall (KS) urging the agency to base any action on compounded hormones on legitimate science, and not the faulty recommendations of the 2020 National Academies of Science, Medicine, and Engineering (NASEM) report on compounded hormones—a report that was colored by bias and a remarkable lack of scientific rigor.
Contacting your US Senators via our Voter Voice Platform is easy: You can send our pre-written message as is, or you can customize it as you wish (maybe add the name of your store, how many patients you serve in your area or state, etc.).
The NASEM report ultimately offered six recommendations which, if implemented by FDA would severely restrict—or eliminate entirely—your ability to compound hormones as a therapy for patients suffering hormone imbalance.
While the FDA has taken no action on compounded hormones yet, we must ensure that they don’t do anything that puts patient health at risk or inhibits your ability to treat your patients. We need your voice in this effort.
Please ask your two US Senators to add their names to a bipartisan letter to FDA led by Senators Baldwin (WI) and Marshall (KS).
Sending a message will take you all of three minutes. (Our platform will even find your members of Congress for you, based on your address.)
Thank you for doing your part to advocate for your compounding practice. Please share with your compounding teammates and urge them to send messages, too!
