Call to action: Ask senators to sign hormone letter
Please urge your two US senators to add their names to a letter to FDA led by Senators Tammy Baldwin (WI) and Roger Marshall (KS). It urges the agency to base any action on compounded hormones on legitimate science, and not the faulty recommendations of the 2020 National Academies of Science, Medicine, and Engineering (NASEM) report on compounded hormones—a report that was colored by bias and a remarkable lack of scientific rigor.
We’ve made it easy via our Voter Voice Platform: You can send our pre-written message as is, or you can customize it as you wish. It will take only a couple of minutes. Our platform will even identify your senators for you, based on your state.
The NASEM report ultimately offered six recommendations which, if implemented by FDA would severely restrict—or eliminate entirely—your ability to compound hormones as a therapy for patients suffering hormone imbalance.
While the FDA has taken no action on compounded hormones yet, we must ensure that they don’t do anything that puts patient health at risk or inhibits your ability to treat your patients. We need your voice in this effort.
