Weeks after reopening, states see Covid-19 cases surge

In what, honestly, isn’t all that surprising, Covid-19 cases are surging across the country just a couple of weeks after states began reopening.

Per Reuters: “Alabama reported a record number of new cases for the fourth day in a row on Sunday. Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, North Carolina, Oklahoma and South Carolina all had record numbers of new cases in the past three days, according to a Reuters tally.” (https://fllw.me/3fq2aUD)

What *is* surprising: “Per capita, Arizona’s infection rate is now more than three times higher than New York state.” (https://fllw.me/2YEhJkL)

And this probably counts as irony: Total cases in the US are going *down* … because cases in the New York area are going down. (https://fllw.me/3fs1nCQ)
