Here’s help confronting misinformation

You know that drugmakers have been working pretty hard to convince people — especially lawmakers — that pharmacy compounding is some kind of Wild West. They’ll make insinuations that pharmacists use untested ingredients, or they’ll play the xenophobia card and imply that compounders buying from shady dealers on Shanghai streetcorners.

Well, APC has a couple of white papers specifically written to squash those talking points.

The first is “How Compounding Pharmacies Validate Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients,” which you might call our “vendor validation primer.” It explains all the steps a licensed compounding pharmacy must go through — from before the drugs are even purchased until their final use — in detail. If you ever need to push back on claims of shady dealings in drug purchasing, this is the document to use.

The second is “Compounding is Healthcare. Counterfeiting is a Crime.” Drugmakers like to blur the line between legitimate compounders and illegal online sellers of fake drugs, so this one-pager makes the distinction crystal clear. It even includes a bit of myth-busting for when you need to counter Big Pharma’s narrative.
