As Philip Smyth takes the reins as APC’s 2026 board chair, he inherits an alliance that, thanks in large part to his predecessor, Gina Besteman, is in perhaps its strongest position in decades, with a larger more-active membership, a track record of regulatory victories, and with a collection of resources to help power our work over the next several years.
Philip won’t be working alone, of course. He’s chairing a board of directors with an impressive breadth and depth of experience to help inform and guide the alliance during what promises to be a very … interesting year.
