APC's partnership with the Coalition for Compounding Excellence continues to grow – and by all indications, CCE is approaching the inflection point that precedes a real surge in adoption – with many of our members already signing up.
Unlike traditional checklist-based programs, CCE takes a risk-based approach – auditors focused on identifying real risk to your patients and staff, not just ticking boxes. The program is practical and pharmacist-led, with evaluators who understand real-world compounding operations and focus on helping pharmacies resolve issues and strengthen compliance. Most document and SOP review happens remotely, so the on-site visit can focus on observations and problem-solving. And if something does come up, auditors don't just flag it and leave – they work through it with you. In one recent example, after identifying concerns about hood placement in a sterile compounding facility, the auditor worked directly with the PIC to brainstorm a solution on the spot.
CCE also prides itself on responsiveness – this month, an auditor was deployed for an urgent on-site visit with only five days' notice. PFM members access CCE accreditation at preferred pricing, often saving substantially compared to other programs – in some cases approaching half the cost. Learn more here.
