Let’s talk tomorrow’s shortages (well, possibly)

A new Medicare program starting next month will allow seniors to get GLP-1 drugs for just $50 per month. As Axios reports, that could mean a new round of shortages “and it could test an already burdened system as seniors seek new GLP-1 prescriptions.” Not to mention bringing the whole compounded GLP-1 issue back to the forefront, especially as Congress considers the anti-compounding SAFE Act that would severely limit even shortage compounding.
