It put words and structure around something many pharmacy owners and compounders know but rarely say out loud: the same traits that make you effective as a leader – drive, vigilance, responsibility – can run you straight into the wall if you’re not careful.
That matters in any profession. But in compounding, where the margin for error is small and the stakes for patients are real, it matters even more. A burned-out pharmacist isn’t just a personal problem. It’s a patient safety risk.
